On September 13, 2016, the Culinary Union attended the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Board of Directors meeting to inform the LVCVA of the serious ongoing labor disputes at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas and with Station Casinos. While at the board meetings, Culinary Union members, Carlos Cruz, Chenay Arberry, Celia Vargas, and Jeffrey Wise spoke about the lack of transparency between the LVCVA and potential clients wishing to host conferences and trade shows in Las Vegas.
Station Casinos, Trump International, and the LVCVA have intentionally hidden labor disputes from perspective consumers which does not uphold the city of Las Vegas’ standard of hospitality.
