Culinary Union Attends LVCVA Board Meeting

On September 13, 2016, the Culinary Union attended the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) Board of Directors meeting to inform the LVCVA of the serious ongoing labor disputes at the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas and with Station Casinos.  While at the board meetings, Culinary Union members, Carlos Cruz, Chenay Arberry, Celia Vargas, and Jeffrey Wise spoke about the lack of transparency between the LVCVA and potential clients wishing to host conferences and trade shows in Las Vegas.

Station Casinos, Trump International, and the LVCVA have intentionally hidden labor disputes from perspective consumers which does not uphold the city of Las Vegas’ standard of hospitality.  The deliberate lack of transparency from withholding information often puts clientele in severely uncomfortable situations after being informed of issues surrounding booking with Trump International and Stations Casinos.  To make sure your business is not caught between the highly visible labor disuptes at these properties, always refer to when booking your event.  You can find the public comments by Celia Vargas and Jeffrey Wise by clicking their names.
