Las Vegas Culinary Union makes a Partial deal with Caesars Entertainment

In Las Vegas, at at 12 a.m. on June 1st, contracts between the Culinary Union and 34 of the city’s gaming and entertainment properties have expired. For weeks, the union was negotiating with different companies but with no finite results. As the month of June began, the union’s 50,000 members were ready to start a strike. However, at the early morning hours, the news broke that the union made a partial deal with the Caesars Entertainment. The deal with one of the biggest companies in these negotiations is still ongoing. The same is true for the negotiations that are taking place between the Culinary Union and Downtown Las Vegas and MGM properties.
